Graphic Designer/Illustrator Needed


You will work with the creative team in creating and executing design concepts. You will also be involved with quality control for print production and help manage outside vendors including photographers, illustrators, printers and anyone else who is involved in the development of a project. 

The ideal candidate is a big picture person who can multitask with energy, passion, and knowledge of the latest design trends and best practices, and has a passion for making the world a better place. Intermediate to advanced illustration skills are essential. Intermediate knowledge of Word Press and basic HTML would be helpful.


BWA is a small, nimble team where each staff member wears many hats. In addition to the responsibilities described above, day-to-day tasks may include:

  • Creating illustrations for storyboards, icons, etc.
  • Contributing to team brainstorms for new campaigns
  • Drafting initial print, interactive and branding concepts for presentations
  • Designing final press-ready artwork
  • Production for print collateral
  • Laying out campaign support materials such as brochures and reports
  • Creating graphics for reports (info graphics, bar/circle graphs, etc.)
  • Formatting campaign ads and other collateral based on final art specs
  • Color management and file set up for production
  • Organized for traffic flow and recording time sheets
  • Coordinating with Project Mangers to streamline communication between teams
  • Managing company identity including website, awards and branded materials


  • Passionate commitment to social causes
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design
  • Interest in and understanding of the world of Social Marketing and public health campaigns (as distinct from social media)
  • At least three years work experience as a designer.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented work style
  • Ability to work on multiple deliverables simultaneously and execute effectively under tight deadlines

Required Skills

·       Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud
·       Several years experience in designing logos, brochures, posters, outdoor and other print collateral
·       Intermediate to advanced illustration skills
·       Proven time and project management skills
·       Strong problem-solving and organizational skills


Bonus Skills

·  Intermediate knowledge of Word Press and HTML

·  Experience with Color Management as it relates to production/pre-press file setup

·  Familiarity with video/PSA/commercials
