BWA Launches Campaign Promoting Quality Child Care in Contra Costa

2016-03-28

This month, BWA launched Quality Matters, a new campaign in Contra Costa County highlighting the importance of quality child care to children's futures. The campaign, developed in partnership with First 5 Contra Costa, the Contra Costa County Office of Education and the Contra Costa Child Care Council, also unveils the County's new child care rating and improvement system. The effort is aimed at improving the quality of care that children receive because, as the ads state, "kids who attend quality programs do better in life."

The English and Spanish ads can be seen on buses, transit shelters, supermarket carts, BART stations and online throughout Contra Costa over the next several months. All of the ads point to the website qualitychildcarematters.org, which includes tips to help parents find quality child care, resources for providers to help improve their level of care, and ratings for participating programs.
